‘Bachchhan Paandey’ box office collection day 4: Akshay Kumar’s action entertainer records a big drop with just Rs 3.50 crore | Hindi Movie News

After a slow start, the box office collection of ‘Bachchhan Paandey’ showed a big drop on Monday. Despite the festive holiday of Holi, the film continued with a downward trend over the weekend and on its first Monday, the collection dropped over 70 per cent from its opening day figure.

‘Bachchhan Paandey’ has added Rs 3.50 crore nett to its total, which now stands at Rs 38.25 crore, reports Boxofficeindia. The film saw massive decline in collection in Gujarat / Saurashtra circuits on Saturday but Bihar added a decent figure to the collection on Monday. Going by the current trend, ‘Bachchhan Paandey’ is expected to earn around Rs 47 crore nett in its first week at the box office. This action drama is facing some stiff competition from ‘The Kashmir Files’. Post its first week at the box office, ‘Bachchhan Paandey’ will be replaced by ‘RRR’, which will hit the screens this Friday.

Previously, ‘Bachchhan Paandey’ was to hit the screens in Christmas last year. However, it was delayed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Post this, Akshay has a long list of films scheduled for release which includes ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Ram Setu’, ‘Cindrella’, ‘Prithviraj’ and ‘Selfie’ to name a few.
