Blinken & Bilawal talk bilateral ties in 1st call

US secretary of state Antony Blinken has held a phone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the first such high-level contact since a new government took over in the country, and exchanged views on aspects of bilateral ties.
The conversation took place weeks after ousted PM Imran Khan alleged that the US was behind the “foreign conspiracy” to topple his government. During the call, Blinken expressed the desire to continue strengthening Pakistan-US ties. He also underscored the US-Pakistan commitment to combatting terrorism.
