BTS Renew contract with HYBE and BIGHIT Music will be renewed. Following a board decision with BIGHIT Music, each BTS member — RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook.

BTS Renew Contract with HYBE and BIGHIT Music

Will sign exclusive deals with the firm, where they will continue to cooperate on future releases from 2025 onwards.

“With the renewal of their contracts, we are looking forward to supporting BTS’ group activities, which are expected in 2025,” HYBE stated in a statement.

Adding that “HYBE and BIGHIT MUSIC will provide all support necessary to continue to expand and elevate BTS’ presence.”

The firm will sign each member in the order in which they served in the military.

Suga’s service begins on Friday. He is the third member to enroll in the military, following Jin and J-Hope.

BTS’s seven members will finish their obligatory military duty over the following few years, with the group’s hiatus for military service set to extend until 2025.

In 2013, the band made their debut under Big Hit Entertainment, which eventually became HYBE.

BTS became a cultural phenomenon under the company’s wing, hitting multiple milestones with chart-topping hits and a number of record firsts for a South Korean act, including becoming the first K-pop act to reach Number One on the Billboard 200 in 2018 with Love Yourself: Tear and the first all-Asian group to grace the cover of Rolling Stone in 2021.

As part of the June 2021 edition, each member was also featured separately with digital covers.

Beginning in 2022, the group started releasing separate material, including as V’s Layover, Jung Kook’s current song “Seven” with Latto, Suga’s solo album D-Day under the alias Agust D, and Jimin’s solo album FACE

All of which were released in March, while RM released his first solo album Indigo in December 2022.

Meanwhile, Jin released “The Astronaut,” a solo song co-written with Coldplay, in October, while J-Hope released his solo album Jack in the Box in July 2022.
