CNG price hiked in Delhi-NCR: Check new rates

The prices for CNG were increased in Delhi and near the capital region today. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Delhi by Rs 1 per kg. The new CNG price increase in Delhi is effective from today, 24th March. Not just Delhi, but CNG prices have also been increased in other cities as well. Here is the list of new CNG Retail Prices –

  • Delhi- Rs 59.1 per kg
  • Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad- Rs 61.58 per kg
  • Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Shamli- Rs 66.26 per kg
  • Gurugram- 67.37 per kg
  • Rewari- 69.48 per kg
  • Karnal and Kaithal- 67.68 per kg
  • Kanpur, Hamirpur, and Fatehpur- 70.82 kg
  • Ajmer, Pali and Rajsamand- 69.31 per kg

The CNG price hike is announced after the two consecutive hikes in petrol and diesel prices. Now the petrol and diesel are costlier by 80 paise per litre across the country. According to the media reports, the CNG price hike reason is Russia-Ukraine war as it has put pressure on the crude oil prices index globally.
Petrol price in Delhi is Rs 97.01 per litre, while diesel price in Delhi is Rs 88.27 per litre. In Mumbai, the cost of petrol is Rs 111.67 per litre and diesel costs Rs 95.85 per litre.
Fuel retailers have also raised the PNG price in Delhi by Rs 1 per standard cubic meter (SCM) to Rs 36.61 per unit that will be effective from today. The new price of domestic PNG in Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad will be Rs 35.86 per SCM. In Gurugram, it will be Rs 34.42 per SCM. In Kanpur, Hamirpur and Fatehpur, domestic PNG will retail at Rs 38.50 per SCM.
