Cyndi Lauper Embarks on Emotional Farewell Journey

Cyndi Lauper is saying goodbye to exploring. The singer who made ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ declared a tour on Monday morning. She will embark on one final tour across the country this fall before she retires from exploring, and performing in 23 arenas across North America.

Cyndi Lauper did not issue any statement to explain why she felt it was appropriate to do a farewell tour now, although she is not yet ready to call it quits.

Her Girls Just Want to Have Fun Farewell Tour, which is being billed as her first major tour in 10 years, kicks off in Montreal on October 18 and concludes in Chicago on December 5.

Arena dates she will be playing along the way include shows in New York at the Madison Square Garden on October 3030, Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena on Nov.1 and L. A at the Intuit Dome on Nov. 23, Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert on Nov 24 and finally in San Francisco at the Chase Center on Nov 26. She will also be performing at a theatre unlike an arena in Detroit on the 24th of October.

An artist presale of tickets begins on Tuesday while the other presales are on Wednesday with the general tickets being on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Supporting artists have not yet been confirmed and will be announced in the future.

‘Let the Canary Sing’, directed by Alison Ellwood, debuted at Tribeca last year, and it will be available on Paramount+ in the US and Canada starting Tuesday. On the same day, Cyndi Lauper will soak herself in a formal handprint ceremony to be held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood where celebrity hand prints are celebrated in cement. On Wednesday, she will join the “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” show to talk about the documentary and the farewell tour.
