After the 2022 Baleno, Dzire S-CNG and new Wagon-R launch, Marut Suzuki is gearing up to introduce the facelift versions of Ertiga and XL6 in April 2022. Both MPVs have already been spied testing many times on Indian roads ahead of launch. Here is what we can expect from the upcoming MPVs.
Maruti Ertiga Facelift
2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV will receive minimal design updates. Spotted multiple times while on test in India, the Ertiga Facelift will likely feature a revised grille, a new colour scheme inside the cabin and new upholstery. In terms of mechanical upgrades, the 2022 Ertiga will continue to use a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine producing 105 hp of power and 138 Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic unit, which Maruti Suzuki might offer instead of the four-speed AT. The new Ertiga could also receive a new 9.0-inch infotainment system.
Maruti XL6 Facelift
Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift will also receive significant design upgrades. The manufacturer is likely to add large alloy wheels and more features on the XL6 Facelift to give it an edge over its direct rival, Kia Carens. Moreover, the 2022 XL6 is expected to get a revised front grille and new bumpers.
On the inside, the new XL6 could get new seat upholstery and a new infotainment system. In terms of engine, the MPV will use the same 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. MSIL might offer a six-speed automatic gearbox, instead of a four-speed automatic gearbox in the XL6 Facelift.
According to sources, the new XL6 could be available in six and seven-seat configurations to widen its appeal.
