Maruti XL6 Vs Kia Carens: Price and specifications comparison

Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the new XL6 in India at a starting price of Rs 11.29 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.55 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom) onwards. The six-seater Maruti XL6 will rival the likes of its sibling Ertiga and the Kia Carens. Here is how the 2022 Maruti XL6 fairs with Kia Carens in terms of pricing.

The new Maruti XL6 is available at a starting price of Rs 11.29 lakh, while the Kia Carens starting price is Rs 9.5 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). The Maruti XL6 top-spec variant is around Rs 3.15 lakh affordable than the Kia Carens top trim which costs around Rs 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom).

Currently, the Kia Carens is the most powerful offering a maximum power output of 140 hp. The Kia Carens’ 1.5-litre diesel engine generates the peak torque of 250 Nm. In terms of transmission too, the Kia Carens has an upper hand as it offers 7-speed DCT. The new Maruti XL6 now gets six-speed torque convertor automatic transmission and paddle shifters. Considering the pricing and specifications, the 2022 Maruti XL6 can also be a potential rival to the Kia Carens and Mahindra Marazzo.
