Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the next-gen Ertiga in India as it officially commenced the pre-bookings of the MPV. Likely to launch later this month, the 2022 Ertiga variant details and colour options leaked online. As reported by Team-BHP, the new Ertiga will be offered in four variants, including LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+. A six-speed automatic transmission will be offered as optional on the VXI, ZXI and ZXI+ variants and the CNG variant will now be available as the ZXI trim.
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Facelift will be offered in seven colour schemes – Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Magma Grey, Auburn Red, Prime Oxford Blue, Pearl Dignity Brown and Midnight Black.
The 2022 Maruti Ertiga bookings have already started at a token amount of Rs 11,000 and we expect to begin the deliveries upon launch. Now the next-gen Ertiga will be available in a Tour variant in petrol and CNG variants as well to cater to the taxi services. The Tour variant will be paired to a manual gearbox.
In terms of engine and transmission, the 2022 Ertiga will be powered by a K-series 1.5-litre Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine that will be mated with the Smart Hybrid technology. Along with an updated engine, the brand will also be providing an advanced six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and finally saying bid adieu to the old 4-speed transmission unit. A five-speed transmission will be on offer as well.
Talking about the Ertiga facelift exterior, it will get a new grille and new LED headlamps with LED projector units. On the inside, the Ertiga will receive a new 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment display and Maruti’s Suzuki Connect technology.
