Nintendo Switch 2
Talking about the price and variants, the standard version of Switch 2 costs $ 449.99 (about Rs. 38,600), and Mario Kart World bundle has been launched for $499.99 (about Rs. 42,900). The device is available on Walmart, Best Buy, Gamestop, and the Nintendo website. At present, its launch date has not been announced in India.
The design of Switch 2 is portable and modular. Its 7.9-inch display supports 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rates, making gaming visuals more smooth than before. HDR supports and new 7:5 display ratios also claim to improve the multiplayer and split-screen experience.
The new Joy-Con 2 controllers now have a better grip, “C” button, and new mouse mode, which will make control and navigation more flexible than before. The charging tabletop mode is also possible through the USB-C port, and the adjustable stand will help keep the device stable.
The device has 256GB internal storage, which can be increased via a microSD card. Also, TV mode has 4K output support. Due to backward compatibility, old Nintendo Switch games can also be run on it.
New social features have also been added to Switch 2, such as gamechat and game, which support in-game chatting and screen sharing. Also, now new MII characters will be genderless, and users will be able to make customization more flexible.
Nintendo has also announced several games with the launch. These include Mario Kart World (an exclusive title), Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and Street Fighter 6. Old GameCube classics will also be available through Nintendo Switch Online.
