RRR‘ (Hindi) is all set to wrap up the weekend on a high with an excellent collection of an estimated Rs 30 crore on Sunday.

The film that smashed all records on Day 1 to become the number one opener in Indian cinema, recorded a worldwide business of Rs 223 crore gross on its first day.

The revenue brought in from the Hindi dubbed version of the S S Rajamouli directorial was estimated at Rs 19 crore nett on day one and Rs 24 crore on day 2. According to boxofficeindia.com, the Rs 30 crore nett collection will be the highest single-day post the pandemic collection, without considering the Hollywood release, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home‘.

If ‘RRR’ does manage to cross this mark, it will be another first for the film.

The collections in Gujarat / Saurashtra could be nothing short of historic as ‘Bahubali – The Conclusion‘ is the only film to get close to the 6 crore nett mark in the state and going by the ticket sales thus far, this film may do the same.

It is also set to beat the post-pandemic records set by ‘Sooryavanshi‘ and even ‘The Kashmir Files‘.

The weekend numbers are expected to be around Rs 74-75 crore nett range depending on the evening and night shows.

On the international front, the Indian epic flew off to a good start with its North American debut, landing in third place on the US charts with $5.42 million from 4,517 locations. The Sarigami Cinemas release is expected to draw $12 million to $15 million in grosses through Sunday – numbers that would make it the biggest ever stateside debut for an Indian film.

‘RRR’ had opened to record numbers in New Zealand and Australia. Industry experts claimed that in Australia, the film overtook ‘The Batman‘ to claim the Number one spot on Friday.

In Canada, the film made $270,361, while in the UK, it made Rs 2.40 crore.
