Remembering the iconic actor, his best friend and co-star Shakti Kapoor told a news portal that although he is sad that Rishi is not there to witness the wedding, he is sure that the late actor would be happy and dancing up there and blessing the couple. Shakti also added that he is happy that Ranbir has not further delayed the wedding. According to him, it is the right time for Ranbir to get married.
Elaborating further, Shakti added that when he closes his eyes, he imagines Rishi wearing a white Punjabi safa, standing at the gate, laughing and being the gracious host that he was.
Recalling his conversations with the late actor about Ranbir’s wedding, Shakti told Hindustan Times that one side he would complain saying children of today’s generation do not want to get married and on the other side he would point out to the fact that marriages nowadays don’t work.
Shakti concluded by saying that if Rishi would have been alive, he would have gone crazy. He would have been the happiest. The actor, who is currently in Kolkata, also revealed that he is not attending the wedding as the family wants to keep it limited.
