The first trailer for DC's latest blockbuster, "Black Adam," features Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Adam.

He plays a morally ambiguous hero with godlike powers in the two-minute clip.

In the trailer, we see a 5000-year-old warrior reborn with superhuman strength and the ability to fly.

Black Adam is seen punching a plane and holding a rocket in the trailer for DC Extended Universe.

Black Adam faces a moral dilemma as Dr. Fate tells him: "Either you destroy this world or you save it."

The trailer reveals Black Adam was once a slave and has broken out of a tomb in which he has been imprisoned for 5,000 years.

Besides seeing Johnson as Black Adam, viewers can also see Aldis Hodge and Noah Centineo as Hawkman and Cyclone, respectively.

In an Instagram post Tuesday, Johnson thanked fans for their support while preparing to portray the DC character,...

...who is the enemy of Zachary Levi's Shazam in the DC Extended Universe."Thank you so much for your unwavering support...

...and relentless excitement for this passion project of mine.

In 2019, Johnson revealed the Black Adam project, saying the role was "unlike any other I've played in my career."

While I was a child, Superman was my hero of choice. However, later in life, I realized that he wasn't the only hero...

...I could ever be. I was too rebellious, too rambunctious, and too resistant to convention and authority," he wrote on Instagram.

Added Thomas, Black Adam is "blessed by magic with powers equal to Superman, but he doesn't toe the line or follow the rules....

...He's a rebellious, one-of-a-kind superhero who'll always do what's right for the people, but he does it his way."

Filmed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise), "Black Adam" will be released on October 21.
