A paralysis on one side of Justin Bieber's face has forced him to take a break from performing.

As the singer explained in a video posted on his verified Instagram account, he has Ramsay Hunt syndrome,

which prevents him from moving half of his face and from taking the stage.

As you can see in the video, this is caused by a virus that attacks my ear nerve and my facial nerves.

As you can see, this eye does not blink. I cannot smile on this side of the face; this nostril will not move. I am completely paralyzed on this side."

A Ramsay Hunt syndrome appears when shingles attacks the facial nerve near one of your ears.

In addition to shingles rash and facial paralysis, Ramsay Hunt syndrome can cause hearing loss in the affected ear.

Justin Bieber responded to those who are frustrated by the cancellation of his concerts, saying he is physically incapable of performing.

The situation is serious, as you can see. "I wish this wasn't the case, but, obviously, I have to slow down," he told me. "I hope you guys understand."

In the meantime, I'm going to rest and relax to get back to my original state so that I can fulfill my destiny."

Thanking his fans for their patience, he said he had been doing facial exercises. He did not know how long it would take him to recover,

but earlier this week, it was announced that three of his upcoming performances had been postponed."I trust God, and it will be alright," he said.
