The disgraced R&B star R. Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Wednesday.

She quoted Stephanie's victim impact statement: "No price was too high for someone else to pay for your happiness."

The judge said, "This is not a case involving sex.".This is a story about violence, cruelty, and control."

Despite this, Kelly said, "You have the advantage of fame and celebrity all over the world, along with unimaginable wealth."

In addition to child pornography, Kelly is charged with obstruction of justice, according to his attorney.

Kelly was found guilty of charges including sex trafficking, racketeering,sexual exploitation of a child, and bribery last year.

He often filmed his victims performing sexual acts for his gratification.

Seven women testified before the judge announced Kelly's sentence. Kelly never saw the accusers.

I won't interrupt his conversation.Known as Jane Doe 2, another woman spoke of depression and stress caused by Kelly.

Charles, the father of another woman, urged Kelly to confess and seek forgiveness.

Kelly's attorney said he was devastated knowing the government had asked for 25 years.

Kelly's defense lawyer promises an appeal
