Just a few years after the book, it became a worldwide event that beautifully listed more than 150 weeks on the new york times bestseller list

Now it makes the leap to the big screen like a summer blockbuster, with guaranteed great success

The film's first trailer released today promises an inspiring trip to the North Carolina swamps

We broke everything we knew about the film so far, from the story to the soundtrack

A 2018 adaptation of Delie Owens' bestseller, Where the Crawdads Sing, is the Story of Kya Clark 

Also known as "The Marsh Girl". As a child abandoned by her mother and then a violent father 

Kya grew up almost alone from the age of six, wandering in the swamps of her North carolina coastal community

Kya has learned to take care of herself and has a deep bond with the scene, but her classmates and townspeople call her The Marsh Girl

Kindness comes in the form of Tate Walker, Who taught him to read and write and become his first love

Encouraged by Tate, kya finally expressed his expertise on the environment by publishing natural almanacs

As an adult, Kya falls in love with city's golden boy, Chase Andros

The relationship ends badly, with violence and betrayal, but Kya goes back in time when Chase is found dead

A number of clues lead local investigators to believe that Kya committed the murder; they imprisoned him without bail and tried him

forcing him to prove his innocence in a perverted legal drama
